Kid's Clinic

On Saturday, we were at Home Depot to purchase some grass seed (that is a long story in itself) and the man at the check-out said there was a free kid's clinic going on if we wanted to go. Of course Carson was up for it, so we had a great time building a speedway. He used a hammer and nails all by himself and did an excellent job of reading and following the directions (good thing too, because I was trying to entertain and put Connor's togther at the same time)!

How did I miss this before? If you have kids, you definitely should check this out. The first Saturday of each month they create a different project and they give the kids a mini apron and the craft kit. When they complete the project, they show the supervisor and then they get a coordinating pin to put on the apron. Carson had a blast and is so excited for the birdhouses they will build next month.
Of course I didn't have my camera at the event, but here are a few "after" photos of the boys playing with their creations.

Oops! Don't mind Connor's fingers as he tried to grab the camera.

It's so fun, isn't it!?! We've only been to the one at Lowe's but it's the same thing. I think they do them on opposite weekends from HD, if you want to be busy every Saturday! LOL

Jen,Isn't the blog thing fun? Sorry I didn't invite ya. I don't know how to do anything. As you can see the picture thing isn't working out either. I don't know how to post the pictures so you can comment under them. Oh well, I guess I will learn some day. Love and miss you.

That is so cool I can't believe they do all of that for free. Maybe in a few months McKenna might be interested in something like that. Also, you will be so lucky this summer when it gorgeous there and we are sweating even at 10p.m. I don't think you'll miss AZ summers very much:)

So cute Jenn. I love seeing your kids. They are so grown up. Yes, we are alive. We really enjoyed your Christmas card and hearing what's going on in your life. I am so impressed Carson is reading so well. He sound so smart. And Conner is a little cutie. Take care.
