If you have wondered why we have been out of touch during the last week, you can now be assured that we weren't on the beach somewhere, but in fact isolated in a hospital room. Our poor little Connor underwent surgery last week to remove his tonsils and adenoids (I still have no idea what those are). He did amazingly well, especially suffering 10 hours of fasting prior to the surgery. He didn't like the recovery process, however, and must have enjoyed his room in the hospital too much to want to eat or drink and go home. We stayed a little longer than hoped, but eventually the little guy devoured a bag of goldfish crackers and they let us go. He is still very sore and has a difficult time swallowing, but is recovering and starting to regain his spunky little personality.
Before the surgery- being goofy.

Distraction- Bubbles!

Post-surgery: In the cage. This was also the only 30 min that he ever stepped foot in that bed. He had Mama, willingly obliging, hold him every minute of the entire stay...

Yikes, I am glad everything turned out all right.
Oh, poor little man! I did the same thing (when I was two years old) at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. Believe it or not, I STILL remember it in detail.
I hope he's doing better now.
Oh my gosh i don't know how you did it! i didn't even know that they took tonsils out anymore! Your poor little guy...i hope that he recovers quick. My heart goes out to you guys.
Poor little guy! He is just so brave! I hope you are all recovering from the ordeal nicely. Hopefully he is getting his fair share of popsicles and ice cream :)
I have to get my tonsils out as soon as I have the baby so I will try not to be a wimp since Connor survived it : ) I am excited to see you soon. I will email or call you soon with more details!
So glad that everything went well with the surgery - I've been thinking about you guys. Marc was surprised that Conner had to go through that at such a young age. Hopefully, this will be the cure!
A)Your adenoids are the "tonsils of your nose"!
B)John Hansen wanted me to tell you that he sends his condolences!
Sweet boy! That sounds like a rough time for all of you. My nice & nephew have both had that surgery. I know it can be scary, hopefully he's doing better now.
Congratulations on Pittsburgh! This time next year you'll be freezn' your bunnies off, like us. :) - Yes winter lasts till Feb. or March, (that was hardest thing for me to learn). Good luck with selling your house, I'll keep my ears open for ya!
